Cactusoft hosting - data centre move
Question
I understand Cactusoft hosting and servers are being migrated to a new data centre. Can you give me details of upcoming outages as a result of this?

Many of the sites we host are being migrated to an alternative data centre.
This work will involve some down-time, possibly a few hours for each site when its server moves. In order to minimize disruption, the work is being carried out overnight (after 10pm UK time).
The FTP details will not change, so it should not be necessary for site owners to make any changes to how they access the sites after the move.

The email system is being moved in steps. At 10pm the balance of email platform will be shutdown. Whilst we are not currently expecting service affecting issues customers may experience intermittent service for 6 hrs.

As part relocation a short internet outage is required whilst the IP block is re-advertised from the new data centre. The outage should last no more than 10 minutes and will take place between the hours of 00.001hrs and 03.00hrs Monday 19 November 2007.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience but hope that the long term benefits will outweigh any short-term impact. We will do our best to minimize disruption.
