Can customers pay by cheque or other offline method?

Question

Our customers will be paying us by cheques separately, can CactuShop send the order to us without worrying about online payment?

Answer

This depends on the version of CactuShop that you have.

In versions v4.5 and before, only customers who had been given approval in the back end to pay by PO (checkbox on customer page) could do this. When they went to order, the system would recognize that they were authorized to pay this way and would give them the order form without credit card fields. Instead, they could enter an optional value (PO number) and the order would be sent to the store owner with this. They could then pay by cheque, phone, fax or be invoiced for the money due.

From v4.6 onwards, users can be given a number of options for payment by changing the paymentsystems config setting. The option to pay by PO or credit card can be displayed in the payment method dropdown. Furthermore, the store owner can set the paymentauthorizeallpo to determine whether all orders using a PO will be accepted, or only ones where the customer has been authorized to pay by PO.
