Checkout leads to Verisign!
Question
Whenever I try to check out through PO, or any payment gateway, I keep getting redirected to some Verisign Site Finder page - even though I'm not using the Verisign gateway!
What's going on?
Answer
The short answer: you haven't set your webshopURL config setting correctly. You need to set this to the root of the shopping cart. See KB#151 or the Developer Manual for more information on setting this.
The long answer: The reason it redirects to sitefinder.verisign.com is because Verisign, who have control over the .COM and .NET domain servers, have rather slyly redirected all the traffic from domain names that don't exist to a VeriSign 'SiteFinder' page. By default the webshopURL is set to mydomainnamegoeshere.com - which doesn't exist - hence you're getting sent to some Verisign page. Verisign are coming under fire for abusing their power, so hopefully this problem won't be around long.
