Collecting payment details on my site.
Question
If i'm using authorize.net as my payment gateway - is there a way to have the user enter in the credit card info on my site without having to be directed to the authorize.net site?
I want the my site to have a consistent look during the credit card processing page.
Answer
Using authorizenet SIM payment gateway, there's no way of collecting the CC details on your site. It would be insecure to do this and then send it over to another site.
To collect details on your own site, you can use CactuShop encrypted mail, Verisign PayFlow Pro, or AuthorizeNet AIM (support added in CactuShop v5.1). To use one of these systems, you will need to have a secure certificate on your site running on SSL for secure transactions.
Some gateways allow customization on the payment gateway side. These vary in customization - from being able to change colours and add your own banner, to completely designing the HTML of the form (such as on Secure Trading).
