Is it possible to remove the EU VAT number box from display on the the order sequence?

Answer

The EU VAT number box is activated if the 'euvatcountry' config setting is not blank. Set this setting to blank and the EU VAT number box will disappear.

The EU VAT box lets you exclude tax from orders by VAT-registered European businesses (who will pay this in their own countries).

The 'euvatnumbercheck' config setting activates code that performs basic checks on the format of EU VAT numbers. It neither ensures their validity or guarantees that they correspond exactly to the specifications for the various countries. However, it is a useful tool to weed out basic typing errors.
