Question

When I hit the front page of CactuShop, most of it works okay but I get the following error:

Cannot include Memo, OLE, or Hyperlink Object when you select unique values (P_Desc1).

and a SQL query starting with 'SELECT DISTINCT' is written to the screen.

However when I run the software on another machine I don't get any errors. What's up?

Answer

This is a bug in the Microsoft JET software (part of the database code).

The problem is fixed by installation of patches or service packs.
