Error when I click on page links at foot of prodtype.asp page

Question

When clicking next on the bottom of a category page, in order to view more products in the category the following error appears. This error does not appear in all categories, but it does appear in many.

error '80020009'
Exception occurred.

/asp/prodtype.asp, line XXX

Answer

This problem is because some products that have no live versions are still set to be 'live'. Products without any versions set to display on the web site will be counted when the page links are generated but are not actually displayed.

To correct this, ensure you disable products with no live versions.
