How do I set some items to have no shipping/delivery charge associated with them?

Is it possible to have some items in the shop which are "free delivery". The items I have in mind are membership fees so there's no delivery fee attached, however, I would have normal items in the store as well that would require a delivery fee.

Answer

The easiest way is to set the store to calculate shipping by weight. In fact, weight could be considered as 'weighting', an arbitrary value used solely for the purposes of indicating shipping costs. You can enter values for the items that need shipping and zeros for the items that don't.

Switch the store to calculate shipping by weight in the config settings.
