Shipping calculation inaccurate

Question

I'm having trouble with the shipping options. I have 'ship by weight' turned on in config.asp; I have the shipping cost for all zones set to zero for orders of zero weight. I have several products set to zero weight, yet the cart insists on charging shipping for them.

Answer

This could occur in some cases where shipping records in the database were not in the default order, perhaps after upsizing to SQL Server. Extra clauses have been added to v3.202 and later, these force the records to be pulled out in the correct order.
