Updating whilst offline

Question

Telephone time is expensive. Do I have to be connected to the internet to update the system or can I enter data offline and then connect to update my site?

Answer

No. You must be online to update your database. The only alternative would be to have a local copy of the site on your web and to update that, then FTP to the site but this would overwrite any data which had been entered and stored live on the web including copies of orders, statistics, etc.
