Question

How can I stop VAT/tax being added to shipping costs?

Answer

There is a config setting shiptaxband that controls which tax band applies to the shipping costs. Be sure to enter the ID of the tax band and not the percentage tax you wish to charge. Entering zero for this setting will cause an error since that is not a valid tax band.
